Welcome to Nemo's Creative Portfolio
It's unlikely you are interested in a full biography. If you were, then maybe you'd want to know this: my life took a turn in 2003, only a month before my third birthday. I was a perfectly standard child attempting to have a perfectly standard pre-school experience. By all means, I was doing great. Then Finding Nemo was released and so were my hopes of a normal childhood.

Thankfully for everyone involved, I discovered an interest in the creative side of things.

This culminated in a Creative Writing degree that allowed me to fully explore storytelling and its many forms. My initial focus was on scriptwriting and short stories, learning how to control a narrative across genres and styles.
While in lockdown, productions were halted, so I chose to further develop my comic strips. I became closely familiar with the Adobe Suite, creating a collection of cartoons and character designs using different tools and techniques.
In my final year, I decided to expand beyond freehand creativity and offered my services as a Freelance Writer. I perfected my pitch and proposal strategy, eventually managing to secure projects for an e-commerce and a start-up for whom I wrote persuasive and engaging content.

These skills translated well to a corporate career where I discovered an interest in copywriting as well as writing to simplify technical topics such as rotating equipment or carbon capture.

All the while, I have continued to write most days, working towards my first extended narrative amongst other projects. Moreover, I have attended networking events and experimented with the gargantuan effort it takes to bring a collaborative project to life. Most notably, this resulted in a short skit: The Cookie. Other attempts have escaped completion while still bearing their lessons, such as this ambitious effort to create an animated series.

Above all, my mission today is to stay true to the boy that created stop motion with his Lego. To the twelve year old who felt the need to create a website for his film reviews. And then decided it was absolutely necessary to film a black and white suspenseful trailer to advertise that website. My mission today is to put a lifetime of creativity at its best use.
